InDesign I | April 1st, 7:00pm
In this beginner-level class we will cover the fundamentals of InDesign CS6. Topics will include an introduction to the InDesign user interface, as well as the basics of working with text and graphics. We will work with typography, colors, and linked graphics to create a one-page newsletter, touching upon the use of paragraph and character styles and other tips and tricks to make your document creation easier. This class is geared towards students who have experience working on the Mac OS and are comfortable with computers, however no background in InDesign is required.
Instructor: Elaine Gruenke
Elaine Gruenke has worked as a professional graphic designer for over fifteen years. She has a special passion for Photoshop as well as all of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Her experience includes working on fine art for the Venice Biennale using Photoshop, as well as working as a project manager and lesson designer for Adobe Press’ Photoshop and After Effects Classroom in a Book books for the CS6 and CC versions. She has an M.A. in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, and is the owner of Smartwork Design.
Pre-requisite: To participate in this course, you must have basic computer skills, using a keyboard and mouse, and preferably have experience with Mac OS
