Remembering Playland at the Beach (2010)
This documentary is about San Francisco's famous 10-acre seaside amusement park Playland at the Beach. Located next to Ocean Beach, the park was torn down in 1972 to make way for a condominium development. The destroyed park is one of the city's lost treasures. The loss includes Laffing Sal, the Fun House, the Carousel, the Big Dipper, the Diving Bell, and much, much, more.
Doors open at 7:00. This series is sponsored by The Friends of the Mill Valley Library. For more Programs and Events at the Library, see the Library Events Calendar.
