Posted Date: 1/7/2013 8:00 AM

Edna Maguire Fire Training (1)Commencing on January 11th, 2013, the Mill Valley Fire Department will be conducting live fire training exercises at 7 Altamont.  The exercises are designed to provide the most realistic training possible for our emergency personnel.

These exercises will include fire attack, ventilation practices, search and rescue and live fire training.  The perimeter of the structure will be secured and there will be no immediate hazard to adjacent properties.  On the day of the live fire training, small burns will be limited to the interior of the structure, but some smoke will be visible as it exits through the doors and windows.

A Chief Officer or Captain will be present during the drills to discuss any concerns.  If you have any questions regarding this training please contact Mill Valley Fire Department Captain Dean Riddle at 415-389-4130.
