First Friday: Naked Truth--Love Hurts

Wine reception at 6:30pm for pre-registered guests.
Program begins at 7pm

For adults and high school students.

Invited guests tell true stories of falling victim to Cupid’s arrow. Moth champ Matteson Perry and author Joe Loya return with their storytelling pals, including Litquake director/writer Jack Boulware, comedienne Caitlin Gill, and PopSugarTV reporter/producer Becca Frucht. Naked Truth favorite Josh Healey (“Rolling a Joint for Grandma”) to emcee.

Our Storytellers for the evening:

Becca Frucht
Becca Frucht is a writer, host and storyteller. She's currently an entertainment reporter and anchor for PopSugar TV.  Becca has displayed her on-stage antics at NPR’s "The Moth" as well as other story slams around LA, which inspired her to produce and host “TMI Live!” -- her very own monthly storytelling and variety show. Jack Boulware
Author and Journalist, Jack Boulware – Jack is the executive director and co-founder of San Francisco’s premier literary festival, Litquake. His books include Gimme Something Better, an oral history of the Bay Area punk scene and Sex, American Style. Jack has also written for the New York Times Magazine, the Washington Post, Playboy and Mojo.

Joe Loya
Joe Loya is an essayist, playwright, TV commentator, and author of "The Man Who Outgrew His Prison Cell: Confessons of a Bank Robber." His latest novel is a gory yet fabulously funny prison zombie apocalypse story titled "The Red Mile," published under in a pseudonym (The Zombie Whisperer) that he can barely say or type without chuckling and you can buy on Amazon or iTunes. He lives with his wife and 6 year old daughter in the Bay area."

Matteson Perry
Matteson Perry is a Colorado native now living in Los Angeles where he is a writer and performer. He is a five time Moth StorySlam winner and two time Moth GrandSlam champion. Caitlin Gill
Caitlin Gill is a rising talent in the San Francisco comedy scene. Since beginning her career in 2007, Caitlin has performed at the San Francisco Punchline, the Purple Onion, and 12 Galaxies. She is also the host of the "The Ladies Room" Open Mic at the Brainwash, and "The Ladies Room" Showcase at Club Deluxe.
