Community Emergency Response Training (CERT)
Mill Valley Class Canceled

CERT Volunteers

Join Mill Valley's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and work alongside emergency personnel to help your community during an emergency.  
The CERT program and manual were developed under the auspices of the Marin County Disaster & Civilian's Corps Council (DC3) based on the Federal CERT program. This program is designed to emphasize hands-on experience, and is taught to Marin County residents by Marin Fire Agency personnel. The following classes will train and prepare volunteers to achieve higher level of skills in: 

  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Disaster First Aid/Triage
  • Fire Suppression
  • Utilities  (recognition/controlling)
  • Light Search and Rescue

PLEASE NOTE: Mill Valley class is canceled, sign up for training next month in Kentfield.

Dates and times for the following 18 hours CERT training class:

Thursday, October 10 - 6:00 pm -  9:00 pm
Saturday, October 12 - 8:30 am – 4:00 pm 
Sunday, October 19 -  8:30 am – 4:00 pm

Training to be held at Mill Valley Fire Station 7, 1 Hamilton Drive, Mill Valley over 3 days, totaling 18 hours.
Cost per individuals: $45.

All trainees receive a CERT manual, identification card, helmet, vest and a certificate of completion. For those of you who have completed the Basic CERT Training course, the next step is to increase your training by completing higher level CERT courses. Please visit for more information.
