Red Flag Warning for North Bay Hills
Extreme Fire Weather Predicted

Red FlagA Red Flag Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for the North Bay hills until 6:00 a.m., Saturday morning.  A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity and warm temperatures enhance fire growth potential. Please click here to view Mill Valley in the news about recent Red Flag warning.

 During this Red Flag Warning:

1.  Avoid the use of lawn mowers or weed eating equipment in dry vegetation.
2.  Avoid the use of all open flames including wood and charcoal grills.
3.  Make sure all cigarette butts are properly extinguished.
4.  Do not park vehicles in tall dry grass.

Residents should also:

1.  Maintain 100 feet of defensible space around their home.
2.  Remove leaves and needles from gutters.
3.  Remove low hanging  branches at least 10 feet off the ground.
4.  Make sure that your address numbers are clearly visible from the street.
