Mission
The Mission of the Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin is to efficiently provide wastewater treatment services to its member agencies and work cooperatively with government agencies on all compliance requirements, at all times being guided by the following core values:

  • Public health and safety with an emphasis on facility operations, employee safety, and neighborhood well-being;
  • Operational excellence, customer service and public education;
  • Environmental stewardship with an emphasis on quality treated effluent, zero controllable spills, and re-use of biosolids, methane and reclaimed water.

Biosolids Hauling

Camino Alto Force Main Replacement:
SASM awarded a contract to D & D Pipelines, Inc. to replace the unreliable 10” force main on Camino Alto between Miller Avenue and Sycamore Avenue. This project includes installation of a new 14” HDPE pipe under the Camino Alto roadway, a ductile iron pipe bridge crossing over Arroyo Corte Madera del Presidio, and restoration of asphalt and concrete surfaces following completion of the pipeline. Construction will begin on June 20 and is expected to be completed prior to the start of the 2016/17 school year.
