THE COURSE - The beautiful Mill Valley Municipal Golf Course is truly one of the hidden jewels of Marin County and by far the best golf deals around! This 9-hole par 33 (par 32 for back nine) is hidden amongst 42 acres of hills, creeks and mature redwoods. Call and reserve your tee time one week in advance or just drop in and play. Golf spikes are required for all golfers October 1 through April 30.
2 for 20? - The course is fast becoming known in Marin and recognized by the NGGA as a “2 for 20” course. What’s that? It’s "Golf in 2 hours and under 20 bucks" course. Perfect for those extended lunch hours…
SHORT COURSE - A par 3 course designed within the existing course, lasered by the NCGA and introduced in 2010 with a separate scorecard. Still the same beautiful greens and redwood trees, the "short course" allows beginners, short hitters and juniors the chance to enjoy the game at a pace that is friendly to all our players
The Golf PRo Shop – The shop now offers logo apparel, balls, gloves, rental clubs, pull carts, etc. A full snack bar is open year round, complete with beer, soft drinks, assorted snacks. The recent golf shop remodel added tables and bar stools, along with TV's and dice cups. In the warmer months / longer days there is a full BBQ by the putting green available to golfers and non-golfers alike.
A new face and energy: - Coming onto the scene in August 2010, PGA Personal Pro Doug Acton has brought new life to the course! Doug is a Marin native, a PGA Class A member with 38 years dedicated to the golf industry and has taken over as Head Professional. Following a successful local prep, college and amateur career (formerly competing as Doug Talley), Doug's professional playing experience includes the Asian Tour and PGA Tour Qualifying. His welcoming and knowledgeable staff includes a PGA life member, a PGA apprentice and a former PGA member.
Professional services - After spending his first twenty years as a country club professional, Doug opened up and managed his own teaching centers. Here in Mill Valley Doug has designed both an outdoor full swing studio, complete with video and a Foresight launch monitor, as well as an indoor putting studio with a 2 camera video system and the Science & Motion Putt Lab. With demo clubs and accounts with every major manufacturer, Doug can custom-fit every club in the bag from driver to putter. Personalized attention and on-course instruction are always available.
