Establishment of Fuel Breaks Between Cities and Canyons
The Blithedale Ridge Fuel Break Project is part of the County wide fuel break network outlined in the Marin County Wildfire Protection Plan.
The County wide fuel break network is a 24 mile long fuel break system that generally follows ridge top emergency access roads from the San Francisco Bay to Lagunitas. This part of the network will separate the Cities of Mill Valley and Corte Madera and is part of an ongoing project supported by Mill Valley and Marin County Open Space District.
All fuel reduction work will be done by the Mt. Tam Fuels Crew from Marin County Fire Department. |
