City of Mill Valley Chipper Program
The Mill Valley Fire Department offers the citizens of Mill Valley access to a chipper free of charge. This program is intended to assist the homeowner in reducing flammable vegetation around their homes. Once the vegetation is cleared from the residence and stacked properly, the Fire Department will schedule for the vegetation to be chipped and hauled away. In order for this program to be cost effective, at least 3 residences need to participate at once. Click
here to download a Chipper Request Form.
Branches for chipping must be less than 4" in diameter and a maximum of 5' in length. Branches must be stacked neatly, with all cut ends facing in the same direction of travel.
