Solar in the City: A 100 kW ground mounted solar system is planned for installation at the Public Safety Building in 2009. Once fully operational, the system will meet 80% of the building’s energy needs.
Other efforts: City Green will be working on a number of other sustainability efforts in 2010 which may include some or all of the following: a Climate Action Plan, alternatives to plastic bags, water reclamation, local food policy, integrated pest management and an environmental procurement policy.
