1999 Click Off Photos
Wednesday, December 12, 2007
October 22-23, 1999 The Mill Valley Art Commission presented the first annual Mill Valley Click Off.
Amateur photographers who entered the Click Off were given 24 hours in which to take one roll of slide photographs within Mill Valley 94941 or in Mt Tamalpais State Park. After the film was developed, the entrants selected up to four slides for judging, one in each of the four categories: People, Places, Things and Abstract Expression.
To keep the photographers on an even level, Eastman Kodak Company generously provided each entrant with a free roll of the high quality Kodak Professional Ektachrome Film E100VS. Ektachrome Radiance Paper was used for the prints.
Judges included local professional photographers Ken Friedman and Suki Hill, in addition to sponsor Tom Kunhardt of Kodak Professional. The Best of Show winner received a $300 gift certificate for photographic equipment and services plus a brick of Kodak film, and the winning photos were displayed in the City Hall Chamber Gallery in December of 1999, with a special reception for the photographers on First Tuesday, Mill Valley's monthly celebration of art gallery openings, on December 7 from 6-8pm.
