1. 19 Vasco Drive – Design Review & Categorical Exemption – Thamley – File No. PL14-4265 (Kilgariff)
An addition and complete exterior remodel of an existing 2,110 square foot home and 572 square foot detached garage. The applicant proposes connecting the detached garage and current dwelling as well as expanding the front of the home with a 654 square foot addition on a 14,182 square foot lot. Exterior changes include a new pitched roof, stucco exterior, windows, doors, and masonry fence.

2. 30 Rose Avenue – Design Review & Categorical Exemption – Billingsley – File No. PL14-4246 (Kilgariff)
A 491 square foot addition to a 1,538 square foot single family dwelling located on a 18,635 square foot down-sloping lot and the construction of an attached 425 square foot parking deck to provide two off-street parking spaces.

3. 432 Eldridge Avenue – Design Review & Categorical Exemption – Sands – File No. PL14-4256 (Kilgariff)
The construction of a hillside lift to be installed from Eldridge Avenue in order to provide access to single-family homes at both 432 Eldridge Avenue and 100 Quarry Road. The lift will be located primarily on 100 Quarry Road.

4. 136 Oakdale Avenue – Design Review, Variance & Categorical Exemption – Lazarus – File No. PL14-4260 (Newman)
The project proposes to enclose an existing 19’2” x 17’7” two-story detached carport that fronts on Oakdale Avenue to create a garage at the street level and to remodel the existing laundry room/storage space on the lower story of the hillside structure to include a bathroom. The materials proposed are painted horizontal cedar siding to be painted light taupe with white trim. The carport is located within the front yard setback and therefore requires approval of Variance.

5. 84 Buena Vista Avenue – Design Review & Categorical Exemption – Goltermann – File No. PL14-4230 (Svanstrom)
Remodel, addition, and landscape changes to an existing single family house. 1,100 square feet are proposed to be added by converting the under-story of the structure to habitable space, and 294 square feet are proposed to be added on the upper floor. Exterior modifications include changes to the upper roof line, a new rear deck, new foundations, and changes to window and door locations. Cladding is proposed to be clapboard and shingles to match existing. The applicant is requesting the removal of three trees, one date palm and two coast redwood trees (one in the front and one in the rear yard). The subject property is in the Residential Single Family RS-6 Zoning District (6,000 square foot minimum lot size).
