UPDATE as of October 1, 2012: The traffic signal at Tower Road and East Blithedale Avenue will be on a timer on Tuesday, October 2nd, throughout the day. The traffic flow on East Blithedale will not be impacted.
The County of Marin’s road resurfacing project, funded in-part by the 2012 Measure A 1/2 Cent Sales Tax, begins this week and will continue through the entire month of October 2012. The project includes construction on the following streets near the city limits: Tower Road, Shell Road, Meadow Road and Plaza Drive. The project includes installing a new pavement surface, corner curb ramps, and traffic pavement markings.
Road resurfacing will begin October 2nd. For approximately one day, the County will place the traffic signal at Tower Road and East Blithedale Avenue on a timer. County staff will monitor the signal timer continuously so that E Blithedale traffic flows normally. The County anticipates that the signal timer and related traffic impacts will occur throughout the day on October 2nd.
Please visit the City website for updates on traffic impacts, follow MV Police on twitter for this project or contact the County of Marin at 415-473-6528.
