Mill Valley Police Investigating Assaults
Construction Workers at Cornelia Avenue Hit by Rocks
Posted Date: 8/21/2013 11:45 AM

Over the course of the last month, the Mill Valley Police Department has responded on six occassions to a construction area where workers have been assaulted by thrown rocks.  The construction area covers the streets of Tamalpais Avenue, Summit Avenue and Cornelia Avenue.  In particular, Cornelia Avenue has been the site of most of the incidents by an unknown person throwing rocks from Tamalpais Avenue.

The rock throwing may be investigated as an assault with a deadly weapon, as actions such as this are illegal and are likely to produce great bodily injury.  Prosecution will be sought to the fullest extent of the law against the perpetrator(s).

The sometimes resultant anger and frustration that occurs from living in a construction area should not be channeled into aggressive behavior.  Contacting the Mill Valley Police Department (415.389.4100 or 415.446.4526 after hours) or the City's Code Enforcement office at 415.388.4033 is the appropriate resource to contact for these complaints.

Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to contact the Mill Valley Police Department.  If you wish to remain anonymous, please call the Anonymous Tip Line at 721.4547.
