Mill Valley Art Commission presents the 15th Annual Click off Competition, November 5-17, 2013

The Mill Valley Art Commission is pleased to announce the 15th annual Click Off photography competition. Each year during the autumn season, photographers of all ages and skill levels capture images unique to Marin County and each photographer’s perspective through the camera lens. Cell phone photos encouraged.


The “Click Off” is a photo competition to shoot pictures pertaining to one of five categories. The categories will be randomly chosen by participants at the “Click Off -Kick Off “which will be held at The Image Flow, 401 Miller Avenue, Suite A, Mill Valley on Tuesday November 5, 2013 at 6 PM.

Participants will have until November 17, 2013 to capture digital pictures that best represent the subject. At the “Kick Off” event, participants may sign up for an editing session on Nov. 12, 13, 14, 15 or 16. Or you may make an appointment with The Image Flow at 415-388-3569. Participants may load up to ten photographs on a CD or other storage device and bring it to the editing session with staff from The Image Flow. There, participants will have the opportunity to spend 15 minutes with a professional photographer who will provide guidance in selecting and enhancing the best image for judging.

Whether you choose to attend an editing session or load your entry on your own, images must be uploaded to the Click- Off designated website no later than midnight Nov. 17th.

The top four contestants in each category will win excellent prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and honorable mention. Prizes will be awarded for Best Youth Photograph (15 & under) and Best in Show. The winning photographs will be displayed at the Mill Valley Community Center during the month of December.


Participants may pick up and submit registration forms and fees in person (or by mail) prior to November 5, 2102 at the following Mill Valley locations:

  • Mill Valley Recreation, 180 Camino Alto, Mill Valley, CA. 94941
  • The Image Flow, 401 Miller Avenue, Suite A , Mill Valley, CA. 94941

Participants may register on-line with credit card payment  up to 12pm Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

Participants may fax registration forms with credit card  payment to Mill Valley Recreation at 415-383-1377 up to 12pm Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

Participants may submit registration forms and payment on November 5, 2013 at the “Click Off - Kick Off” event (see below).

If you are unable to attend the November 5 event, you must submit registration and payment in advance of the November 5 date and then you will be notified of your category by the Art Commission after November 5.

Registration Fees:

$25.00 per participant, $15.00 for youth (15 and under) and senior (62 and over). Please make checks payable to “City of Mill Valley”.
