FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Southern Marin Fire Protection District and Mill Valley Fire Department are excited to introduce a new way to schedule a fire inspection. The self-serve scheduling website allows residents and contractors within Southern Marin to have the ability to select the day and time for an inspection instantly.
Starting Monday, January 24, 2022, all fire inspections will transfer to an easy-to-use online scheduling system. Whether you are a contractor, a realtor looking for a resale inspection, or a resident reporting a hazard to be inspected, users will be able to use the new scheduling system to choose an available time slot with one of the District's Fire Inspectors.
“As we move into the new year and the future of fire prevention, we are continuing to set the benchmark in the County and the State,” said Fire Marshal Fred Hilliard. “We are extremely proud of our team and all the accomplishments we have made together. I know the move to electronic inspection scheduling will soon allow for an easier experience for the end user.”
The scheduling website can be found at www.smfd.org/request-an-inspection
